This week at Grayling…

This week, we rolled up our sleeves and got stuck in to the launch of the M&S Spark Something Good initiative – a campaign led by the lovely Joanna Lumley and David Gandy.

The campaign, which aims to inspire and motivate people around the country to take action for social good, saw M&S customers, employees and local community groups, plus our very own Kara Nelson, transform 24 community projects in just 24 hours for the cause.

With the help of the volunteers – including Joanna and David themselves – M&S not only managed to transform the 24 charity projects it set out to, but it smashed its target by completing them all well within the 24-hour time limit.

Over the next two years, M&S will be rolling out a further 24 volunteer projects in 24 locations around the UK and Ireland. If you’d like to get involved, pop into your local store to find out how you can donate time to your local community and improve lives whilst you’re at it.

A big well done to everyone who gave up their time on Wednesday and helped to launch such an amazing campaign – will this Spark Something Good inside you?

No updates on our beloved tomato plant this week – though we have brought in Tomasina II to help encourage a little….reproduction, should we say? It looks like they’re making friends already!
