Charity was the order of the day at Grayling Towers on Wednesday when we held a cake sale to raise money for our corporate charity, The Nepal Earthquake Appeal.
The team dug out their whisks and baking tins to put on a huge spread of cakes and treats, which included chocolate brownies; carrot cake; red velvet cake; flapjacks; rocky road and chocolate orange marble cake among many more – feeling hungry yet?
Generous staff from neighbouring businesses in Royal London Buildings flocked to our cake sale table helping to raise over £170!!
Thank you to everyone who donated! All funds have now been passed onto the Disasters Emergency Committee to help the victims, and those supporting the victims, of the tragedy that took place in April of this year. You can read more about the work of the DEC.

Cake and charity continued to be the focus this Thursday, when Megan and Kimberley joined our client M&S at its stand at the Royal Welsh Show to take part in a charity afternoon tea. While we were busy taking pics and gathering intel for the media, the stand quickly filled with patrons ready to enjoy sandwiches, cakes and tea all in aid of The Breast Centre in Cardiff. This fantastic charity supports women with breast cancer in South Wales with access to dedicated doctors, nurses and surgeons. Who wouldn’t want to enjoy tea and cake for such a worthy cause?!
Also taking place at the stand were live demonstrations and we enjoyed watching The Village Bakery make Welsh cakes. Our verdict? – yum!!
We don’t have any news on our resident tomato plant Tomasina this week! She’s growing tall but isn’t providing the fruity goods. We’re hoping that with a bit of gentle encouragement (in the form of plant food), she’ll be sprouting tomatoes in no time.
